What should-be-rare vehicle seems weirdly common in your area?

There’s lots of cars that have become rare or have all but disappeared from the roads. I haven’t seen first-gen Hyundai Tiburons anywhere in a long time. Chevy Berettas either. I was a Chevy Sprint enthusiast, but I haven’t seen one around in a long time. Most of the Sprints became victims to rust or to owners who didn’t maintain them; the latter is a too-common fate for cheap cars.

I have noticed one particular vehicle that should be rare, yet I see a different one it seems like every day: the Mitsubishi Mighty Max.

Kinja'd!!!

I remember how popular these were here in Colorado when they were new. When I was in high school in the late ‘80s-early 90's they were everywhere. They just haven’t seemed to fade away like the Isuzu (non-Hombre) trucks have, and those were almost as common in the same period.

What car do you still see somewhat often and it surprises you?

Not common to see at all, but in the last 3 years I’ve seen two different Fisker Karmas. Talk about rare ....

I wasn’t even aware those existed, because the only flavor of Corolla we’ve gotten in the US in the last 25 years is Extra Beige.

New Ghibli or old Ghibli? The new ones will probably be somewhat common for a while, until they break anyway.

I see at least 3 or 4 Model Ss daily, as well as that many i3s, but most weirdly is I see at least one Murano CrossCabriolet. And there are at least 5 different ones I know of. (black, blue, beige, and white with either a black or tan top)

(These figures are assuming I drive at least an hour or two that day.)

Not one damn thing. I can go weeks without seeing anything that should-be-rare... which obviously implies they actually are rare around here.

Hell, even should-be-somewhat-common stuff is rare around here. Some average guesses on frequency:

Tesla - one per couple of weeks... and that’s cheating since there is one that shows up in the parking lot at my daughter’s bible study

911 - maybe, generously, one a month

M BMW (all series, all ages) - maybe once a week

Corvette - C6: 1.5 per week, C7: 1.5 per month

This one is old school, completely random, and I have no idea why, but at one point I knew of at least 5 or 6 Volkswagen Karmann Ghias in my town.

We have several people here who have classic rides, but I don’t understand why these are so prevalent in my area.

Living in Oslo (Norway), I see what is probably a triple digit amount of Teslas and 30+ BMW i3's every day. It’s not that surprising for me, but everyone coming here is very surprised. Despite it being quite new, I’ve also seen a lot of new XC90's recently.

My friends dad had one jut like the photo. I wish I had it. My friend would rev the crap out of it and I would cringe every time. One time I politely mentioned he should chill with the RPMs but he said its ok for some probably stupid reason then later I heard the motor blew.

When I was in san francisco it seemed I kept seeing those lexus hybrid hatches everywhere it was wierd.
